Norris History

Today, Norris, the smallest school district in the state, sits on a nearly 900 acre campus that provides an abundance of learning opportunities for youth and families. The District serves learners from surrounding communities and across the state through tuition placements and Wisconsin's Open Enrollment program as well as Norris residential learners.  The Norris School District shares a proud history with Norris, Inc.

The District operates both Norris Academy and Norris Virtual Academy providing flexibility for learners to engage in on and off campus extended learning opportunities that are personal, relevant and contextualized. As the needs of young learners has changed over the past 100 years, Norris has forwarded its practice to meet these needs. Through the use of positive relationships, personal plans and pathways, trauma invested practices, and the development of a deep understanding of self, the District equips learners with the confidence and the tools they need to self-advocate and pursue a future filled with endless possibilities.
