Operating Structures
The Norris School District Macrocosm distinguishes a learner centric approach to developing agency and leadership at all levels. Operating Structures is one of the core principles of the macrocosm.
Team Centered Supports are the Operating Structures that provide clear policies and protocols to allow the work to occur.
Operating Structures provide clear policies and protocols that support the learner network, allow the work to occur and create space for each iteration to become reality. These structures include everything from designing a framework to ease flexible scheduling, establishing a multi-level system of support, a learner centered model of professional growth and Board of Education policy revision to support innovation. At the heart of this principle is the design model that continually engages staff on rapid cycles of innovation.
